Say hello to the new happytapper.com site, just launched yesterday after months of hard work. As much as I loved my old one, it simply didn’t cut it when it came to growing my business. So I decided to revamp my lovely one page site into multiple pages with a blog.
Like going away to a summer home, I plan to be spending the next months writing more on my happytapper blog. So please take a minute and check it out. Some of my posts will be about the app business, but also about my favorite topics of health, wealth, and happiness.
I’m also planning to launch my third app this week. This one has been a labor of love which I’m excited to tell you all about as as soon as we go live. If you want to be the first to hear about it, be sure to sign up for my newsletter.
Before I get ahead of myself, there’s a couple people I dearly want to thank for all their hard work helping me launch my new site. First and foremost, I want to shout out a massive THANK YOU to¬†Chris at TriMutiny. Not only is he great fun to work with, the guy is absolutely brilliant when it comes to both coding and design. He has a wonderful mix of talent and I look forward to working together some more.
I also want to thank Todd and his team at WPfromPSD.com. They helped develop the HappyTapper blog and did an outstanding job. If you ever need a WordPress blog developed, I highly recommend hiring these guys. They’re professional and do great work.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you for all your unending support. It’s been a long winter of early mornings designing and coding to pull this all off. Your encouragement hasn’t fallen on deaf ears. It’s the exact thing I needed to keep me going each day. So thank you, all of your, from the bottom of my heart.
Read MoreI was so busy launching the redesign of ebook website, iphoneappsecrets.com, that I have yet to share the insanely cool “Manifest Your Intentions Meditation” I attended last weekend at my local yoga studio.
This hour long ceremony is designed to help you attract the life you want through the power of manifestation. It kicked off with a deep breathing exercise and mediation to help us relax and focus. Then we grabbed our pens and started writing our personal manifestations. I poured out every little details of my dream onto that paper, down to the exact penny.
Then we sealed our dreams in an envelope along with a sprinkling of tobacco. We place the envelopes in the center and sat around them and chanted to a beautiful Tibetan crystal singing bowl, pouring our vibes and energy into each one. We passed the envelopes around the circle, holding each one in our hands, giving it our personal blessing and energy. And for a final kicker, we lit up a traditional Indian peace pipe with willow tree bark, commonly used as a remedy for aches and fever.
I left my intention behind to be burned by the woman leading the manifestation. Whether my intentions come true is yet to be seen, but life is certainly unfolding in that direction as I write this.
You don’t need a group meditation to manifest your ideal life. Just spend a couple minutes calming the mind and ask yourself what it is you want. Then write whatever comes to mind. Once you’re done, trust that the universe will provide it in the time and manor that is best for you. It may not come overnight, but believe it will come to fruition and know that you are worthy of it. Lastly, be grateful everyday and establish the habit of positive thoughts.
Manifesting is simply advanced metaphysics. It’s the art and science of how we can bring our desires into the physical world through the natural process of vibration and energy. The energy we are putting out there will come back to us, both good or bad.
What have you manifested lately?
Read MoreLast year I was meditating on a regular basis, making a nice little habit of it. I read books about it, dedicated at least 10 minutes each morning and life was really groovy. I had clarity, focus and balance. Things were really going my way. Then for no particular reason I stopped.
Life slowly became more overwhelming. Decisions were harder to make. I felt pressure. I woke in the middle of the night and couldn’t get back to sleep. Life simply didn’t have the pizazz as before. Of course, I knew I had to start meditating again but I always came up with an excuse.
Then last Monday night I popped in to a free meditation session our local yoga studio. Starving for that euphoric clear headed bliss, I was eager to jump right in. Our outstanding instructor talked us through it, helping us clear our heads. And when she finished and the room was pure silence, I was astonished how instantly my head went clear. My heart filled with love. I was enveloped in peace. That night I slept like never before.
I have meditated every day since and I’m already feeling the positive effects. I sleep better. My mood is a gazillion times better. I feel peaceful, optimistic and in sync with the universe. That instant deep meditation I had at the yoga studio hasn’t happened again. I’m guessing that’s because I felt the power in numbers. It makes a difference to meditate in groups. I do manage to dip below the noise into a peaceful calm for a few minutes each day. And during those minutes of silence I can feel the space in between where life connects.
I promised myself that I would meditate daily for at least three weeks. It takes that long for it to transform into a habit. And this is one habit I never want to kick again.
Read MoreThe talented and amazing Candy from Candied Fabrics tagged me in the Blog it Forward mashup — there are 300 bloggers taking part writing about what inspires us the most.
Ever since I signed up for this project weeks ago, I’ve been pondering this thought and always came full circle back to one thing — people who selflessly give of themselves and their talents inspire me the most.
This includes bloggers who openly share the details of their lives letting us know we’re not alone, like Susannah Conway. Or friends I met over the past year who give me encouragement and support through emails, twitters, letters and blog posts (you know who you are and I love you!). And my developer, David, who always has the time despite his busy schedule to provide me advice and help out.
Then there’s folks like Maggie Doyne who at the precious young age of 19 built an orphanage in Nepal. Or Danielle LaPorte providing her no nonsense wisdom and advice daily. And the hilarious Moggit Girls who combine their sense of style with their sense of humor making me laugh everyday.
Each of these people give without expecting anything in return. And the universe will keep providing to them so they may continue sharing their talents. Give thanks and give back. These are the two main ingredients to peace and prosperity. And inspiration.
Read MoreFive years ago this very moment, I was standing by a beach in Bali wearing a white sun dress. There was a full moon and I was getting married. It was the smartest choice I ever made.
If our next five years together are anything like the last, I know I’ll love him even more. We’ll laugh everyday. And our life will far exceed our wildest dreams and expectations.
I’ve been blessed and lucky many times in my life. But sharing this journey with this cool, handsome, wise and witty man is by far the jackpot. Life is good.
ps: To celebrate, I’m making a Balinese dish called Gado-Gado. It means “mixed” because it’s an variety of vegetables. It’s also that’s what the locals called us there — “Gado – Gado”.
